DATAMARK and Alabama 9-1-1 Board join hands to walk towards taking GIS technology to the next level.   

FREMONT, CA: Alabama 9-1-1 Board chooses the public safety GIS team of Michael Baker International, DATAMARK, to provide  Next-Generation 9-1-1  (NG9-1-1) Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data solutions and services. Under the agreement between the two organizations, DATAMARK would enable Alabama to aggregate public safety GIS data from 85 Emergency Communication Districts thorugh its VEP Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Further, with this contract, Alabama 9-1-1 Board can support geospatial call routing within its Emergency Network called Alabama Next Generation Emergency Network (ANGEN).

The contract the companies,  Alabama 9-1-1 Board and DATAMARK, aims to maximize the efficacy of GIS technology to the fullest level. DATAMARK would carry out a gap analysis on local GIS data and derive unlimited and on-demand GIS data validation capabilities to support the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) NG9-1-1 GIS data standard. To add upon, DATAMARK would also be providing training and local support to the partnered company. The DATAMARK’s team would also be improving the success and reliability of emergency services.
