Digital Platforms with Interoperability are Thriving in EdTech Solutions

Enterprise Technology Review | Wednesday, June 26, 2019

Teachers can save up time for focusing on interactions with the students by utilizing the interoperability of the technologies in classroom. The feature will not only drive the efficiency of the technology but also assists in integrating various sources to streamline the materials on to the software.

FREMONT, CA: Teachers face challenges daily concerning technology. The majority of the problems are because of lacking orientation to the advancements and improper knowledge sharing. Some common concerns involve maintaining user accounts, streamlining a variety of tools on to an easy-to-use integrated environment that extracts the value and purpose of the tools and ensuring appropriate ROI from the purchased programs and resources.

The regular usage of the technology in the said methods can bring in the opportunities required. But in the case of siloed technology, the work created is more and the time taken to teach is less. The understanding of interoperability is the key to avoid the wastage of time while trying to source an analytics file from the drive on the cloud. The excess time spent on technology will reduce the time spent with the students in the classroom.

The feature of interoperability has been recently incorporated into the platforms used in the classroom to make the process of teaching simpler for the educators and interesting for the students. This feature assists the teachers in efficiently handling the tasks and clears up space for teaching classes.  When simplified, the feature of interoperability utilizes a common username and password for the whole class. It leads to a dashboard where all the relevant materials from different sources are shown to be selected for practice.

Interoperability in Education Technology has recently gained attention and has become a priority while selecting vendors. Along with, which an open source platform would also make the cut. Some platforms can integrate an extensive variety of applications via prevailing interoperability norms and standards. The simplified versions have opted for the most in the field of educational software.

While always on a budget with limited funds and resources among schools, the future of EdTech requires immense support to grow and evolve to a level that is supportive of the teachers and learning. Although some tools are continually transforming to become much friendlier for the teachers to use, they are very less in number. The tools necessary for an ideal digital classroom includes the intuitive software, automated, and compliance with interoperability, as it enables the free exchange of data to support insights, which improves the student outcomes.
