SAN JOSE: Atlona, a Panduit company, has appointed Grupo ABSA as its commercial AV distribution partner across a broad swath of Mexico, covering 14 major metropolitan regions including Chihuahua, Guadalajara, Juarez, Mexico City, Monterrey and Tijuana. Grupo ABSA will focus on growing Atlona’s brand recognition and market share with a large community of IT and networking consultants and integrators that increasingly require networked AV solutions for end user projects.
A longtime Panduit representative, Grupo ABSA has built a strong customer base in the industrial, datacom and electrical markets, where the company regularly supplies IT and network infrastructure solutions. Grupo ABSA has increasingly fielded inquiries from consultants and integrators seeking “secure and reliable” AV solutions that can easily integrate into new and existing IP networks. The Grupo ABSA team emphasizes that Atlona will help to meet demand for growing business opportunities in the unified communications segment.

According to Ramirez, ABSA strengthens its local service and support by providing resources in all 14 locations, including sales, service and a fully operational warehouse stocked with inventory. This allows ABSA to react quickly to consultant and integrator inquiries around new projects, and provide system design and engineering services as required. Ramirez and his team will also work closely with Atlona on training, education and certification initiatives, the first of which are scheduled in the Guadalajara region in December.
“One of the embedded characteristics we recognize in Atlona is that their products are much easier to install than competitive systems,” said Ramirez. “This is especially important in Mexico, where integrator turnover is common. There are a limited number of companies that are truly capable of delivering enterprise-level projects, and Atlona’s ease of use substantially reduces the learning curve for our customers. We will work quickly to certify integrators as qualified Atlona installers across Mexico.”
