In order to sustain the precision in smart farming, sensors are required to track the concentration levels of soil. Based on the data observed by the sensor, specific software with decision rules and models is used to determine the condition of the crop and the diagnostics needed for the plant to eliminate deficiencies. Real-time observation of crops can be done by drones and remote sensors which can measure environmental variables and crop status.

Smart farming solutions are substantially increasing the economic rate of agriculture in many developed and developing countries. It eliminates the shortage of labor resources by incorporating the advancements in agriculture technology. It can overcome tomorrow's challenges of doubling food supply by ensuring food security.
