Upgraded AxisTV Signage for Streamlining Operations

By Enterprise Technology Review | Wednesday, March 18, 2020

Trey Hicks, Chief Sales Officer of Visix

The best digital signage suite for organizational communications is enhancing content import workflows, streamlining the process of adding content to playlists with AxisTV Signage.

FREMONT, CA: "As digital signage networks scale, the number of content contributors tends to escalate. Empowering our customers with single sign-on functionality accelerates authentication for contributors logging into the system from any location. It removes the traditional barriers that come with logging into the network while also ensuring network security – all-important parameters of the proven SAML 2.0 standard. It’s just another way that Visix is streamlining operations and making digital signage easier for our customers," says Trey Hicks, Chief Sales Officer of Visix, which has launched version 1.27 of its AxisTV Signage Suite enterprise digital signage platform with support for SAML 2.0, Astra Schedule, and more.

AxisTV Signage Suite v.1.27 bolsters SAML 2.0 for Single Sign-On (SSO) in both cloud and on-premise deployments. This, in turn, streamlines username and password management by enabling clients to connect the CMS and other applications with one set of credentials. The release provides a pathway for SSO with Microsoft Azure AD and other identity providers that are compliant with SAML 2.0. The new version also includes a new data widget for Astra Schedule by Ad Astra. The schedule from Astra Schedule is used in auto-updating messages on flat-panel displays and Visix's Touch10 room signs, helping participants more quickly find their meetings and events. Version 1.27 enhances content import workflows, making adding content to playlists extremely simple. Customers can now drag and drop multiple media files to any playlist. The CMS web interface automatically recognizes the type of content, where clients can easily choose the appropriate playback schedule.

"Corporate enterprises, universities and hospitality businesses increasingly manage a complex web of calendars that can confuse the business and event attendee alike. By integrating Astra Schedule into our AxisTV Signage Suite CMS, our customers can now centralize their calendars and schedules, leading to fewer conflicts, less confusion, and faster scheduling. We are helping our customers more efficiently manage meeting spaces and calendars in one application, versus managing two or more disparate systems," Trey added.
